One of the best ways to recall the website you were looking at the night before is to check your browser history. Like it or not, your computer is saving your online viewing habits in the history tab.

Using the history function you can easily check what your children have be looking at on line. You can also set up a child friendly computer through a computer program that is capable of helping you keep your kids on sites most appropriate for their age.

The history browser is set up to conveniently help you to keep all of your viewing resources at your fingertips. If you or someone else using your computer is looking at websites you wouldn’t want someone else to know about and your browser history is checked, it could potentially be used against you. In most cases though, it’s helpful to be able to easily find the information stored in your browser history.

It’s a good idea to clear your browser history occasionally since it does start to weigh down your computer, and information stored there may no longer be important to you. Just be aware that once you hit clear, it is cleared and gone from your computer forever.

There is a private browsing feature on your computer that when activated, turns off your browsing history feature. It helps to keep viewing history private. Sometimes that is appropriate, especially if you share a computer with someone and you use your computer for viewing private information such as your bank account, medical information or other things that should be kept private. Also, cookies and social media websites aren’t able to track your information when you have your computer set on a private browser setting. You should be aware that private browsing is hiding your computer viewing information. This is different from secure browsing which is achieved through a layer of security added to your computer.
