Reliability & High Performance of STARLIMS Cloud Services – Part 2
February 21, 2023Microsoft is about to retire Teams free (classic)
February 24, 2023Released last fall, Microsoft gave Windows 11 a final major update for 2022. You may have been considering whether it is worthwhile to download Version 22H2 since then. The following will cover the new accessibility, gaming, productivity, and security features. After reading this, you will probably be convinced to install this major update.
Tools for Productivity
Windows 11 provides features designed to help multitaskers and users stay organized. The new update introduced Snap Layouts, which allow open Windows to be neatly arranged on your desktop. It offers greater versatility and can snap multiple browser tabs in Microsoft Edge and improve touch navigation.
Do Not Disturb mode and Focus sessions minimize distractions. Windows 11 will automatically activate Do Not Disturb upon starting a new Focus session. This tool will then silence notifications, turning off app notifications and taskbar badges. The Clock App also now comes with timers, helping users focus and giving reminders for when to take breaks.
New Accessibility Features
Window 11’s screen reader, Narrator, will provide more natural voices, upgrading the text-to-speech tool.
Moreover, the operating system’s live captions will exceed a single app’s live caption features. By default, live captions will now display at the screen’s top area beneath the camera. However, users may choose to locate live captions at the screen’s bottom area or to appear as a floating window. Live caption’s new ability to capture microphone audio lets conversations be transcribed.
Voice access upgrades existing voice commands by permitting users to control their PCs and author texts vocally. Users will be provided an interactive tutorial on carrying out common tasks with their voices upon using the tool for the first time. Real-time feedback is given if a word is not recognized.
Part 2 will cover more of the new features introduced by Windows 11 Version 22H2.
