STARLIMS Public Health Solution PH12.1 is constructed on Technology Platform V12, supporting Code Layering that eases the implementation of future product upgrades. This release has the features below.

Interfacing Solution

• HL7 support enables the exchange of information with Public Health authorities and external systems. Customers can configure HL7 interface settings and mappings, along with importing and exporting HL7 interface specifications.
• Validated in partnership with the Arizona State Department of Health, the HL7 PHLIP Program Interface configuration and APHL are available in the STARLIMS Content Library.
• Bidirectional interfaces and middleware Instrument Manager from Data Innovation are supported, allowing the transmission of test orders to Instrument Manager and the importing of test results.

 Barcode Accessioning

Using the barcode accessioning feature, users can design templates with 2D barcodes for the Electronic Fillable Test Requisition Form, which can be used by customers for shipping their samples to the laboratory. Each form’s barcode can be scanned for accessioning, rather than using manual data entry which can result in errors.

Batch Scanning

The requisition batch scanning feature enables users to configure a shared network directory to enable importing and uploading scans of the Test Requisition Form.

Product API

Supporting RESTful web services, the product API has features supporting the creation of orders, updates of order status and panel status, cancellation of orders, and the drafting of a final report.
