Laboratory Execution System

The release of STARLIMS QM12.2 provides the introduction for the Laboratory Execution System (LES). A powerful generic workflow engine, STARLIMS LES is operable by using a touchscreen.

An ancillary module, LES is completely integrated with the STARLIMS QM 12.2 solution. It supports labs at the run level by thoroughly documenting important processes involving samples and testing materials.

The LES module gives analysts the ability to perform real time laboratory preparations involving product testing runs. This includes sample, solution, and standard preparations, as well as other crucial steps that require documentation.

Once set up, the LES module guides analysts as they perform a method execution, which is also known as the standard operating procedure (SOP). LES guidance helps ensure SOP compliance, thus decreasing the time required for analysts to document sample, standard, and solution preparations.
