July 26, 2016Hackers are people with bad intentions who get access to your computer without your knowledge or consent. Both personal and business computers have been hacked over the years. Large organizations and including the government have been victims of hackers. The hackers break through your computer system like slipping into your home when you’ve left a window or door unlocked. That is why it is vital to have the proper security system on your computer such as a firewall and/or a reliable anti-virus program.
It’s a bad idea to open an email that is unfamiliar to you. Never click onto links in an unfamiliar email, as these links could be the gateway to a virus or link that a hacker used to lure you in. A hacker often goes after access to your email contact list and then attaches a link that is sent out to your friends. This message will look as though it came from your account even though you had no part in it, and this in turn can harm your friends’ computers. Not fun to deal with.
It’s really scary that once a hacker gets into your computer he can see everything you are doing, which puts your personal and financial safety at risk too. Hackers can steal your passwords for your credit card and bank accounts and get into those accounts.
Hackers can also write new files, edit files, and delete things on your computer often before you are even aware of it.
Hackers often do this for the challenge and to be annoying or spiteful to another person. They also target popular websites to cause problems.
What hackers are doing is illegal. Breaking into a popular website or a private or an organization’s computer is like stepping on private property. What hackers do after they are there is more illegal since it’s stealing your private information with the intent to harm you, your contacts, or your organization. This is considered computer fraud and it is like a robber breaking into your house. Call or contact Alpha Engineering Associates today to protect your personal and business computer network.
