Microsoft had considered making Windows 10 the final version of Windows. However, the software giant decided to revamp its long-running operating system one more time instead. Windows 11 is now available and can be downloaded at no charge by migrating from Windows 10.

Although Windows 11 is not considered a comprehensive overhaul, the OS has many changes and new features. It feels and looks different from Windows 10, delivers gaming features, and enhances app compatibility. The following will further discuss the major Windows 11 enhancements and features.

1) Look Remodeled

After user backlash over Windows 8 live tiles, Microsoft concluded people must still want the START menu and traditional taskbar. Windows must stay familiar to users, but it can be tweaked to accommodate enhancements and improvements.

Windows 11 appears to be influenced by Apple’s macOS influence. There is now a centered row of icons for apps on the taskbar. Window edges have been rounded. The interface is more appealing and streamlined. Snap layouts and widget feed eases the loading of several apps and functions simultaneously.

2) Performance Improvements

Microsoft managed to introduce new features while improving performance. To illustrate, Windows 11 operating system updates now are 40% smaller in size than Windows 10 updates and will be performed in the background. Other enhancements improve general performance, including that of web browsers.

3) Integration of Teams

The COVID-19 pandemic may have introduced you to Microsoft Teams. As you may already know, it’s a hybrid application combining Slack and Zoom elements for workplace communication. Windows 11 has made the solution an integrated part of the OS.

4) Android Apps

Windows 11 is capable of running Android apps on PCs. Microsoft will depend on the Amazon Appstore instead of the Google Play Store for app delivery.
